Our Broken Vessel

by

Ken D. Maes

Reading or listening to the news seems to get worse each day. The evil in this country and around the world reminds me of a spiritually broken vessel.

Evil is now seen as good and good seems as evil. We are broken, spiritually, physically, and mentally.

We have thrown God out of our lives. We have chosen to throw Him out of our schools, our government, our public square, our politics, our churches, our families, our marriages and overall, our culture.

We have chosen a lifestyle totally contrary to the biblical principles outlined for us as a guide.

We have abandoned our Christian-Judeo teachings that this country was founded on and have replaced them by accepting godless beliefs.

By doing so I believe God has given us up to our own perversions. (Read Romans 1 and see the similarities)

Yet, there is hope! Just like the potter that can take a broken vessel and remake to what he originally intended, God, our Master Potter can take our broken country, and put it back together again.

However, we as the broken vessel must repent and pray; “But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay and you are our potter, we are all the work of your hand.” Isaiah 64:8
